Austin area Dual Recovery Anonymous

Group Description

You can recover from mental illness, along with substance abuse. Without help, these two no-fault illnesses interact to make each other worse. Working on just one didn't solve our problems. Maybe it's not solving yours.

In DRA (Dual Recovery Anonymous), we're non-judgmental and very accepting of differences. We find that we're able to share things about ourselves in this group that we can't discuss anywhere else.

There is no need to join this group. If you wish to learn more and get directions to a meeting while preserving your anonymity, or if you have any questions, you can send an e-mail to

If you do wish to join the group, please be sure you won't mind the fact that your membership is public (semi-private) information. We will preserve your anonymity within the group itself, but beyond that it's up to you.

Please note: since this is an established group which meets on a regular basis, hardly anyone RSVP's. So don't let that discourage you. Even if you don't see any RSVP's, there are always people at the meetings.
